Azalea Hotel & Residences #AfterSummerGetaway Day 1
*Warning: This blog is 80% picturesque enjoy!*
After many months of not visiting Baguio, (that was like a year) I was able to pay a visit again at the Summer Capital of the Philippines! And this time, I'm with a group of bloggers to experience what to do After Summer. Made possible of course by Azalea Hotel & Residences.
We unbelievably traveled 5 hours from Manila to Baguio, to finally reach our destination. We arrived at exactly 8:15 in the morning and I was personally stunned by this Azalea fountain sphere that welcomes every guest.
As I stepped inside the hotel, I saw this large embossed flowers on the wall, they said its the Azalea flower and I got intrigued to see it personally. Bad timing the Azalea flower is not yet on its season. Good thing there is a lot of art piece inside the hotel that represent the flower.
We had our breakfast at Tradisyon: Pinoy Comfort Food inside the hotel.
They mixed and served Filipino breakfast like fried rice, daing, longganisa in a buffet with western foods, so you have lots to choose from.
I decided to have these on my plate.

Since the other half of the batch was still on their road to Baguio, us who made it early did some quick tour around the Botanical garden now renamed as the Centennial Park.
Escorted by the very accommodating and witty staff of Azalea Hotel, (Mr. Paul and Mr. JC) boring moments was a no no!
Here are some photos I took inside the park:
We head back to the hotel again for our quick lunch and used our free time wandering inside the Casa Vallejo where we found the Cinematheque, Mt. Cloud book store, Hill station restaurant and a small cafe hub.
We spent our time taking pictures, laughing and munching over these sweet in heart desserts.
Here is my ootd when I arrived in Baguio. Its a DIY ripped jeans that I personally did. Hooray!
Now back to our day 1
Half of our batch arrived dusk. After an hour or two we headed for our Acquaintance party/Dinner at Cafe Yagam.
Ms. Carla the owner welcomed us with excitement. I guess she is overwhelmed because we are so hyper and loud. Lol!
After which, we eat native cordillera dinner.
Pinuneg (blood sausage)
Binungor (spicy vegetable stew)
Pinikpikan
I was surprised that the rest of the dish are super spicy except pinikpikan. I ate a small amount of the food since I'm not that spicy lover kind of person. And no I didn't choose pinikpikan for the reason I don't eat chicken anymore.
The staff from Azalea made some game thingy to make us more closer.
The mechanics was if you found the piece that matches your puzzle means you guys are partners and have to do a performance. Its just for fun to make the night memorable!
Before everyone perform we are required to drink Tapuey or rice wine from Ifugao.
It was indeed crazy and loud for day 1. After the acquaintance party we headed back to Azalea Hotel and take a good rest because there is so much more to do for day 2.
Watch out for my Day 2 story soon! :)
