Where do you and your friends usually go when you're planning to have a get-together? There's a bunch of stereotype cafes and restaurants around Manila to choose from. But if you're the kind of person who's tired of the mainstream and want to discover new things then this Kafe might be your partner to keep you sane.
Last Thursday, I went all the way to Imus, Cavite to experience the special kind of taste down south. Buku-Buku Kafe is a place where art, music, food and books collide. At first, I'm puzzled what Buku-Buku really means. I learned from asking one of the owners Mr. Nicholas Santiago. According to him, it came from Bahasa term for 'many, many books' which is pretty obvious with the interiors.

Buku-Buku Kafe offers wide range selection of books that bookworms will surely love. They also have comics and zines which I find great because a lot of millennials don't have an idea about it. You can buy what interest you because they sell postcards, notebooks, prints and other unique finds.

You will feel loved in every corner with their inspiring quotes scattered around the cafe. They also have "Hugot Board" wherein you can throw your heartaches away by sharing it. So witty!

This artsy cafe also offers an extensive array of local and international inspired menu, coffee drinks, cocktail drinks and mouthwatering desserts.
Here are the food I tried during their grand opening:

What I also love about Buku-Buku Kafe, they support young local artist. "Partnering with local artists and indie bands adds up to the unique flavor of our cafe," says Nicholas Santiago.

Have your relish time, tucked in your little corner where you can enjoy your drink immersed in your favorite books. Buku-Buku Kafe is a must visit place. Hoping for their branch in BGC real soon. hihi! Post your creative shots on Instagram and use the hashtag #BukuBukuKafe
Go ahead and visit down south it'll be a one of a kind experience. Buku-Buku Kafe is located at G/F of Promenade Wing, The District Mall, Aguinaldo Highway Cor. Daang Hari, Imus Cavite. Check out their Facebook page and Instagram.

Hi Martin!
ReplyDeleteLoved your pics! I also love that this cafe cater to creative freedom. They just opened a new branch over at SM Southmall yesterday, and I featured it on my blog if you want to take a virtual peek ;) https://thatlaidbackchic.com/2016/12/07/eats-buku-buku-kafe/
