Sandaya Japanese Yakiniku Restaurant Review
Where your feet usually takes you when searching for food? It's so rare for me to stumble across a place that I'm not familiar with. But for the sake of good food, I can take risks. choz!
Last week, I followed my instinct and gone wandering at Fishermall in Quezon City. There lies a restaurant with a fusion of Japanese and Korean embedded to the interiors and style of the whole place.
Alvin Ong (owner) and his family got inspired and came up with the idea when they visited the restaurant in Japan. They brought the authentic taste here in the Philippines under the name of Sandaya Japanese Yakiniku Restaurant situated 3rd floor at Fishermall, QC. I got curious what Sandaya means, so I researched and it's actually a public market in Japan that sells wide variety of premium quality beef.

The restaurant is mainly composed of woods which add a nice ambience. You will definitely feel like you're home away from home, with its panel lining, ceiling, divider, chair, table and pendant lamps.

Kani Salad (250)
Japanese Style Beef stew (120)
I'm not a salad person but their Kani salad is so fresh you can still taste the summer because of mango chunks, carrots, and dressing. This soup, on the other hand, can be everyone's favorite. The rich flavor of beef broth brings life to my sleeping soul. I wish they'll lessen the saltiness.
Shrimp tempura (350)
Thier Spicy Tuna Maki is the bomb! The right amount of spiciness compliments with the maki that will linger in your mouth. You'll definitely ask for more.

Yakiniku premium plate
Protein overload when I saw this platter in front of me. Php 3,800 for 900g that is good for 4-5 persons it comes with lettuce, cabbage, kimchi, nira, & fresh sprout salad. The meats are US Boneless short ribs, Hangi tendered, Chap tendered, & Wagyu.

The tables have built-in grills specially designed to eliminate smoke for better and comfortable dining. Wrapping the beef on lettuce and dipping it in Yakiniku sauce and chili sauce is incomparable, you'll get the crispy lettuce and tender beef bursting savoury flavor inside your mouth.

Milk kintoki (150)
Ending my journey with milk kintoki. This one doesn't surprise me at all it's like a sugar with ice. It lacks some ingredients that'll pleases your taste buds. The only thing that makes me happy about it is the cherry on top.
My Sandaya experience has hits and misses. But above all the what matter is our experience trying new outside our box. Tomorrow is Father's Day and I think every father deserves a bonding with his children over sumptuous food. Avail their Eat and Drink all-you-can.
