A quick visit to Ato Belen's Farm

I've been wanting to pursue organic living ever since I heard about it. But I've no choice here. It seems to me that everything organic in the city I live in is expensive. My quick yet memorable visit at Ato Belen's Integrated Farms at San Pablo, Laguna made me envy those who lives in the province. I badly want to stay.

Belen's Integrated Farms was established in 1987 by Renato Belen Sr. They started out as a coffee plantation that eventually grows as they develop their farm organic inputs. From fertilizers to feed, they now have a vast selection of vegetables that will quench your thirst for everything organic. In 2010, Renato was awarded the title of Magsasaka siyentista and eventually the Ato Belen's Farm has been accredited as one of the learning sites of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in Calabarzon.

The farm now occupies 9 hectares land that produces high quality of fruits, vegetables, and livestock. Brian Belen son of Renato Belen is currently in charge to handle the family's farm. With the guidance of his father, they both enhance and promote organic living.
They have these greenhouses that according to Brian is a joint project with OFW's. This is where they can invest in farming and not put their years of hard work to waste.

I suddenly want to shift career and be an organic farmer. It's because you know you're going to eat high-quality fruits and vegetables and finally achieve the organic living.

If you want a paradigm shift, they're open for tourists, students field trip, and health enthusiasts from Mon-Sun, 8am to 4pm. You may visit their Website for updates.
