Farm to table treats at Forest Wood Garden

I am not picky with foods. I eat almost everything, but I make sure I know where they came from. An organic meal is what I always crave for. I believe that it is important for us to be aware that what we are eating is something healthy and prepared properly. Who doesn't want a well-prepared meal right?
That's what I learned with my immersion at Forest Wood Garden in San Pablo Laguna. A 3 hours drive from Terra Verde Eco Farm, where we spent the night, it is a must go to place when visiting the South.

Forest Wood Garden is a property of the lovable couple Myrna and Joel. According to them, the idea of having this wonderful place started with Myrna's hobby of collecting plants and arranging them. With the background of the architectural ornaments, they made it big and became an oasis of serenity in a rural setting. What I love about Forest Wood Garden is aside from the relaxing view is it also promotes organic farming.

During our breakfast, they prepared a scrumptious meal that literally is a palate delight. My favorite is the Pancit Kalabuko, it's a vegetarian pancit that you can customize, well if you love to add meat then go for it. The Aminos sauce is a sure tongue fire as it spread out the taste of Kalabuko inside your mouth.

I also fell in love with their ube. It just melts in my mouth and I must say better than the usual ube we get as pasalubong from Baguio. Their Plantsado is a winner perfect in merienda with hot tskolate. It's actually a root crop cooked with an old school flat iron. I think it's wise to make it as an alternative to junk food.

Another thing that catches my attention is the livestock. Their animals seem happy and don't smell, you can tell by the photo right?

All-in-all, Forest Wood Garden is not just a simple Eco-Agri tourist destination in San Pablo, but also a treat for all foodie who wants to try the alternative and organic food choices. If you want to visit this amazing place, the 5-hectare day tour including their meal is only 450php per head.
